Bring your expertise as a school-based Occupational Therapist to a dynamic educational environment supporting a diverse student population. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by guiding students across a broad range of grade levels—kindergarten through grade 11/12—with a primary focus on elementary and middle school. Enjoy a structured yet flexible schedule of three days each week, totaling approximately 22.5 to 24 hours, allowing for effective work-life balance while serving a caseload of 34 students, plus some pending evaluations.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Valid licensure and credentials as an Occupational Therapist in California
  • Proven experience working within school settings, supporting students with exceptionalities such as Autism, Specific Learning Disability (SLD), and Other Health Impairment (OHI)
  • Strong knowledge of IEP compliance regulations and processes
  • Hands-on therapy skills tailored to meet the needs of varied student profiles
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities when working with teachers, support staff, and families
  • Adaptability and a solution-oriented mindset for in-person, on-site roles

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct, hands-on occupational therapy services to students, ensuring meaningful skill-building and participation in the school environment
  • Uphold and maintain student IEP compliance, attending meetings as required and accurately documenting progress
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to design and implement effective intervention strategies
  • Address a wide range of needs, adapting therapy sessions to both individual and small group settings
  • Support ongoing evaluations and contribute expertise during eligibility determination processes

This fully on-site position places you at the heart of a supportive school community and offers the chance to develop strong relationships with students and staff. If you're passionate about meeting students where they are, eager to help them grow, and ready for an engaging environment, apply today and make a real difference in the lives of young learners.

Compensation for this position ranges from $38.86 to $68.86. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
