Achievement Rehabilitation is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our growing school-based therapy team. As a therapist-owned company, we are committed to providing exceptional therapy services that empower students to achieve greater independence, confidence, and success in the school environment.

Position Details

  • Role: School-Based Occupational Therapist Assistant
  • Location: Citrus County, Florida
  • Salary:$27.00 - $32.00 an hour (depending on experience)
  • Work Schedule: Monday-Friday during normal school hours, 1,400 hours per year (Work-life balance!)
  • Job Type: Part time or full time
  • Calendar: Follow the school schedule—holidays and breaks included
  • Want to earn more? During school breaks, therapists have the opportunity to work in our outpatient clinics in an as-needed basis!

Responsibilities

  • Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Provide therapy services to students in individual and small group settings.
  • Support students in developing fine motor, visual motor, sensory regulation, self-care, and classroom participation skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to help students achieve their educational goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school and state requirements.
  • Participate as an active member of the multidisciplinary educational team.

Qualifications

  • Current Florida Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) license.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for working with children and helping students reach their fullest potential.
  • School-based or pediatric experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively with educators and therapy professionals.
