Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Type: Contract
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $30.00 – $32.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to evaluate, develop, and implement individualized therapy programs for students with diverse educational and developmental needs. The ideal candidate will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students in achieving functional independence and educational success.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate students referred for occupational therapy through observations, assessments, and record reviews.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable IEP goals based on student needs.

  • Provide occupational therapy services to support students' functional, educational, and developmental progress.

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate therapy services and student care.

  • Maintain accurate therapy documentation, progress reports, and Medicaid in Public Schools (MIPS) records as required.

  • Train school staff and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and strategies to support student success.

  • Serve as a resource for occupational therapy practices, community resources, and special education services.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

  • Current Occupational Therapist license.

  • Minimum of 2 years of occupational therapy experience.

  • Pediatric therapy experience.

  • Experience working with sensory-impaired individuals and children with complex needs.

  • National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification.

  • Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • Ability to pass FBI and State background checks.

  • Strong knowledge of IEPs, special education regulations, and occupational therapy principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a school or educational setting.

  • Experience with Medicaid in Public Schools (MIPS) documentation and billing.
