Job Title: Occupational Therapist (OT)

Location: Cumming, Georgia

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift & Schedule:
• Day Shift – Schedule Varies
• Four 10-Hour Shifts Weekly
• Typical Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday
• Shift Options: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Weekend Rotation: 4 weekends per 4 weeks
• Holiday coverage required

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) for an acute care hospital assignment in Cumming, GA. This position supports a wide variety of acute care patients throughout the hospital, including ICU, stroke/neuro, orthopedic, and medically complex patients.

Both local and travel candidates are being considered for this assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with functional, physical, and cognitive impairments
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient goals
• Provide occupational therapy services across acute care units including ICU and neuro
• Support patients with mobility, ADLs, strength, coordination, and rehabilitation needs
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate documentation within Cerner/One Chart EMR system
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and therapy protocols

Requirements

• Minimum 15–18 months of recent Occupational Therapy experience required
• Active Georgia Occupational Therapist License required
• Acute care hospital experience preferred
• Experience with ICU, neurological, stroke, orthopedic, and general medical patients preferred
• AHA BLS certification required
• Experience with Cerner / One Chart preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills required
