Shift Details
- Day Shift | Typically 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Rotating weekends required
- Schedule may vary based on hospital operational needs
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Pay Range:
- $32.52/hr – Entry Level / New Graduate
- $40.65/hr – Mid-Level (Approx. 10 Years Experience)
- $44.72/hr – Senior Level (16+ Years Experience)
- Sign-On Bonus: $20,000
- Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case basis
Position Overview
A newly established 90-bed state-of-the-art acute care hospital in Gainesville, FL is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join its expanding rehabilitation team. This facility is scheduled to open in Spring 2026 and will offer advanced emergency services, surgical care, and a comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation unit.
The Occupational Therapist will play a key role in helping patients regain independence, improve functional abilities, and enhance overall quality of life through evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and rehabilitation needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Deliver skilled occupational therapy interventions to support patient recovery
- Monitor, document, and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress
- Educate patients and families on therapy techniques, exercises, and recovery goals
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
- Provide guidance and support to therapy assistants and students as needed
Requirements
- Active State Occupational Therapist Licensure (Required)
- Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 30 days of hire
- Open to all experience levels, including new graduates
- 1+ year of experience preferred but not required
