Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Location: Cumming, GA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift & Schedule:
- Day Shift: Monday – Friday
- Hours: 08:00 AM – 06:15 PM (may vary based on department needs)
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join a multidisciplinary outpatient rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate will provide patient-centered care and contribute to a collaborative environment focused on improving functional outcomes across a diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and develop individualized treatment plans for patients
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve functional abilities and independence
- Collaborate with physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and families on therapy goals and home exercise programs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
Department Overview:
- Outpatient multidisciplinary setting
- Includes Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy
- Specialty programs include:
- Certified Hand Therapy (CHT)
- Wound Care
- Lymphedema Therapy
- Vestibular Rehabilitation
- Aquatics Therapy
- Sports Rehabilitation
- Parkinson’s Programs
- Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) & FEES Studies
Requirements:
- Minimum 15–18 months of recent Occupational Therapy experience
- Experience in outpatient setting preferred
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
Certifications & Licensure:
- Active Occupational Therapist License (State of Georgia or eligible)
- BLS Certification (AHA required)
- Lymphedema Certification (required)
