The Staff Pad has partnered with a reputed healthcare organization in Helena, MT to hire dependable & experienced Occupational Therapists for providing skilled, patient-centered occupational therapy services & promote independence, maximize functional outcomes, and improve quality of life.

Reporting to the Director of Rehabilitation , you will be responsible for evaluating patients, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring high-quality, compliant care in accordance with physician orders and organizational standards.

Available Practice Settings

  • Home Health/Hospice – 0.8 FTE
  • Acute Care – 1.0 FTE | Monday–Friday | Flexible 8- or 10-hour shifts | Some weekends
  • Outpatient Occupational Therapy – Full-time

What You'll Do

General Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients & provide OT services to promote patient independence and quality of life
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient assessment
  • Communicate & coordinate patient care with patients, families, physicians, clinical leadership, and interdisciplinary teams and resolve concerns
  • Support patient transitions while ensuring safe, high-quality care aligned with the plan of care
  • Treat patients with diverse diagnoses, including dementia, learning disabilities, and chronic conditions
  • Delegate appropriate tasks and maintain professional competency through continuing education
  • Manage workload effectively using strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
  • Serve as a clinical resource, promote teamwork and adapt to changing patient care needs
  • Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, committee meetings, budget planning, interdisciplinary teamwork, department and organizational improvement initiatives, equipment training, and safety programs
  • Connect patients with appropriate community resources while promoting financial stewardship
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, agency policies, and documentation standards

Home Health Responsibilities

  • Develop individualized treatment and home exercise plans and deliver occupational therapy services in patients' homes based on physician orders and patient assessments
  • Complete OASIS patient assessments and maintain accurate, timely documentation ensuring compliance with home health regulations
  • Improve patient independence through interventions targeting ADLs, IADLs, mobility, and functional skills
  • Perform home safety assessments, recommend adaptive equipment, and educate patients, caregivers, and home health aides on safe home practices

What We Are Looking For 

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Current Montana Occupational Therapy license
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • 2+ years of experience in Acute Care, Outpatient, Rehabilitation, Home Health, or related settings
  • Home and Community Based Program experience preferred (for the Home Health opportunity)
  • Ability to work independently with strong clinical judgment
