Occupational Therapist - Home Health Care - 40 Hours/Week
Schedule: 40 hours per week, day shift
On-Call Requirements: Minimum of one weekend per month, plus one summer holiday and one winter holiday
Compensation & Benefits: $10,000 sign-on bonus; eligible for full-time benefits
Henry Ford Home Health Care is a comprehensive network of home health products and services that focuses on the complex needs of patients and caregivers. Available programs include chronic care management, joint replacement care, specialty infusion and transplant care, wound, ostomy and continence nursing, and palliative care to name a few. Henry Ford Home Health Care's services are provided by qualified registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified wound, ostomy and continence nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech - language pathologists, medical social workers, dietitians, and home health aides.
General Summary
Under the supervision of the site Team Leader or Supervisor, the Occupational Therapist:
Performs OT evaluation and treatment patient care duties as appropriate.
Communicates effectively with patients, coworkers, physicians and other system employees as needed regarding patient care needs and adequately documents all aspects of patient care.
Supervises/delegates to Assistant, and tech as appropriate.
Completes necessary and accurate patient billing information.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
Master's Degree, preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS
Current State of Michigan Registration and National board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Patient care setting with potential exposure to communicable disease.
Limited noise, temperature fluctuation and dust are possible.
