Occupational Therapist (OT) | Contract

Location: Hot Springs, SD

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Day Shift

Setting: Inpatient, Outpatient, Long-Term Care

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.

  • Provide occupational therapy services to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

  • Deliver therapy interventions to improve functional independence and daily living skills.

  • Provide care across inpatient, outpatient, and long-term care settings.

  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.

  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment goals and home care strategies.

  • Supervise therapy assistants and aides as required.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

  • Ensure safe and effective use of therapy equipment and treatment modalities.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental activities.

  • Maintain a safe, organized, and patient-focused therapy environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience in inpatient, outpatient, and long-term care settings.

  • Experience supervising therapy assistants or aides.

  • Multi-setting rehabilitation experience.

  • Strong patient and family education background.

  • Experience in rural or community healthcare settings.

  • EPIC EMR experience.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience.

  • Active State Occupational Therapy License required.

  • Strong knowledge of rehabilitation principles and therapeutic modalities.

  • Ability to work with pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations.

  • Strong communication, documentation, and clinical reasoning skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Holiday coverage required.
