About this Job: MedStar Health is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our Behavioral Health department at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center!    The ideal candidate will be a licensed Occupational Therapist with knowledge of computerized clinical information systems such as AMHC database, Clinicians View, and Chart View. You will evaluate and treat physician referred patients 13 years of age and older in all levels of care.    Join one of the largest healthcare systems in the Baltimore-Washington metro region, also recognized as one of the \"Healthiest Maryland Businesses\". Observes and documents patient activities in the medical record in a timely, accurate and concise manner. Maintains equipment and supplies.   ~ Team: Acts as a departmental and hospital resource through informal leadership and technical expertise. Participates in the orientation of new staff members, assists with supervision of students and volunteers as needed.    ~ Attends hospital sponsored training programs as required by the department. Maintains compliance with Code 10 training Completes all mandatory requirements, certifications, and licensure within allotted time for completion (CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation), License, PPD, Competencies, Age Specifics, etc.)   ~ Participates in inter-departmental teams and committees, communicating unit knowledge as appropriate. Provides department/unit with information and knowledge acquired during participation with interdepartmental teams and committees. Demonstrates a constructive approach during all interactions with staff, supervisors, and managers both inside and outside the unit.    Occupational Therapy degree.  ~ Experience with mental health preferred.  ~ Maryland Licensure as Occupational Therapist.  ~
