Job Summary
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team at our St. Lucie West Location! As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will be working closely with Occupational Therapists as well as other Assistants to provide therapy and support for our patients. Occupational Therapy Assistant will work in the areas of Hand Therapy, Stroke Rehabilitation, Parkinson's Disease, Neurological Rehabilitation, Lymphedema Therapy, Oncology Rehabilitation, Pediatrics, and Vestibular Therapy.

Responsibilities 
  • Read, understand, and follow all plans of care developed by the Occupational Therapist
  • Assist patients with using adaptive equipment, modify exercises, and enhance ADL/IADL independence
  • Assist Occupational Therapists with exercises, communication, and care coordination as needed
  • Assemble, clean, and maintain equipment and materials used on a daily basis
  • Communicate patient care plan with therapy team and caregivers 
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and changes 
  • Adaptability to patient care schedule
Qualifications
  • Current state licensing for occupational therapy assistance required
  • Previous experience working in an occupational therapy setting desired
  • Willingness to work with other disciplines including Physical Therapy and Massage Therapy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management skills
