Ready to Own the EHS Playbook?

Do you believe that great safety systems are built where the work happens? Do you enjoy turning regulations into clear, practical routines that people can follow? Join Novolex as our Occupational Safety & Environmental Programs Manager and help every employee finish the day healthier than they started.

What Success Looks Like

  1. Programs that work: Policies, procedures, forms, and work instructions are current, accurate, and audit‑ready—internally and externally.
  2. Compliance, always: OSHA, EPA, and state/local requirements are translated into training and daily practice on the floor.
  3. Learning culture: Incidents, near misses, and concerns trigger fast investigations, clear corrective actions, and event learning teams grounded in Human Performance principles.
  4. Risk reduced: Hazards in Operations and Maintenance are identified early and addressed with sustainable controls, in partnership with HR and site leadership.
  5. Prepared for the unexpected: A robust emergency response program covers medical, chemical, fire, and evacuation/rescue scenarios—with responders designated, trained, and drilled.

Your Core Responsibilities

  • Run the daily EHS function and continuously improve systems that safeguard people and product quality.
  • Lead safety training strategy with our Training team to create a secure, informed workplace.
  • Administer Workers’ Compensation activities for the plant with accuracy and empathy.
  • Facilitate the employee Safety Committee to elevate frontline voices.
  • Plan, conduct, and follow through on audits to identify and close safety and health gaps.
  • Analyze problems, develop business cases, and present recommendations that advance compliance and performance.
  • Model safety leadership—teach, coach, and inspire others to own safety every day.

Qualifications

  • BS in a safety, industrial hygiene, environmental, or similar discipline; 5+ years of EHS experience.
  • CIH, CSP, and/or CHP preferred.
  • Proficient with spreadsheets and word processing; strong documentation discipline.
  • Expert knowledge of OSHA/EPA and state rules; experienced with hazardous materials, air permits, and environmental reporting.
  • Excellent communicator and problem solver; calm under pressure with strong prioritization skills.
  • Emergency response capable; flexible availability when needed.
  • Experience in Food & Beverage Manufacturing or similar production environments.

Pay & Perks

Compensation is targeted at $100,000–$120,000 base, plus bonus and a robust benefits package. Final offers consider experience, education, and location, and typically land within the middle of the range.

  • 401(k) with company match
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance

Imagine This

An external auditor shows up unannounced. You pull up your environmental reports, walk the floor with confidence, and your team explains the controls in their own words. The audit closes cleanly—not because of last-minute scrambling, but because the system works. If that sounds like your kind of win, we’d love to talk.
