Occupational Health Nurse II

Pay Rate: $35 per hour, W2
Duration: 12+ month Contract 
Work Mode: 100% Onsite

Summary:

• Hours: Monday – Friday, flexible to cover shifts
• 40 hours/week

Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation and delivery of occupational health programs and services
• Conduct injury/illness assessment, triage treatment, and continuity of care
• Conduct health surveillance programs and provide health education
• Perform ergonomic assessments, case management, and facilitate return to work
• Collaborate with human resources, legal, and safety to ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory programs such as OSHA, ADA, HIPAA, and FMLA
• Manage workers compensation injury and illness evaluation, treatment, and case management
• Oversee leave of absence management STD & FMLA
• Manage Occupational Health Clinic including staffing and supplies
• Deliver all medical surveillance and medical clearance programs for site
• Maintain all medical information per OH, legal, HIPAA, and ethical guidelines
• Support K-C Wellness and Healthy Being initiatives
• Evaluate and treat work-related or non-work-related injuries and illnesses within scope of practice
• Assist in accident investigation from a medical perspective
• Administer vaccinations as appropriate for site

Requirements:

• BSN or BS with minimum 3 years occupational health experience preferred
• Occupational Health Certification preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to work autonomously
• CPR/AED certified
• Case Management experience required
• Registered Nurse with unrestricted license

Preferred Skills:

• NIOSH approved Spirometry course completion preferred
• CAOHC certification preferred (can be obtained)
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of EAP, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA
• Occupational knowledge including epidemiology, occupational and environmental health, toxicology, safety, industrial hygiene
