We’re currently looking for an Occasional Babysitter in Albuquerque, NM 87102
A family near Indian School & Broadway is seeking a babysitter for their 8-month-old for an immediate start. Care is needed every second Saturday monthly, plus one additional Saturday (with 1–2 weeks’ notice), within a 9:15am–7:30pm window (exact hours vary). Occasional care for two older children (ages 11 and 13) may also be needed. Those applying do not need to be available for all of the family's requests, but should understand that there are no guaranteed hours for this position. Ideal candidates are dependable, experienced with infants, and provide nurturing, developmentally appropriate care.
- Start Date: Immediate
- Length of Position: Ongoing
- Schedule: Every second Saturday + one additional Saturday/month (9:15am–7:30pm window)
- Additional needs: Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm (Winter break — Availability for this is not required)
- Compensation: $16-$17 per hour
Responsibilities
- Diaper changing
- Bottle + solid feeding
- Engage in age-appropriate, developmentally supportive play
- Following routines and communicating with parents
- Tidying related to the baby
Requirements
- 1 year of paid, professional infant care experience
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- CPR certified or willing to become certified
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must pass a background check and social media screening
- Ability to provide two professional childcare references
Compensation
This position pays $16-$17 per hour, and the family is looking for intermittent care, as needed.
