Job Summary
The NX Designer will work under limited supervision to prepare mechanical designs and drawings using NX1980 and Teamcenter, correctly applying the ASME Y14.5-M-1994 (or higher) GD&T standard. Responsibilities include adhering to Design/Drafting procedures, meeting project schedules, and collaborating with engineering staff to research and analyze design solutions, coordinate design development, and specify and select design components and materials.
Responsibilities
- Prepare design tolerance and stack-up calculations, layout designs, detailing, advanced level 3D models, and 2D drawings required for the project.
- Ensure deliverables are completed in NX1980 and managed in Teamcenter, with quantity directed for each task.
- Perform work in accordance with QAM and Client-TD and Design/Drafting Procedures.
- Ensure all work is reviewed, checked, and approved by staff responsible for the specific task.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate acceptable proficiency in NX1980 CAD.
- Must be proficient in creating detailed technical 2D drawings, not just 3D modeling.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Designer.
- Ability to deliver quality work products to deadline-driven projects.
