Program Overview

The McCall Center for Civic Engagement (MCCE) is hiring multiple Pacific Votes Student Ambassadors. This is a one-year position encompassing the Spring 2026 and Fall 2026 semesters.

Student Ambassadors are an integral part of the Pacific Votes program, playing a key role in helping their fellow students register, cast ballots, and engage in dialogue around democracy and youth voting rights. We are looking for students who are passionate about nonpartisan voter engagement, excited for the chance to learn about and implement best-practices for reaching eligible student voters, and ready to dive into planning events and communications that will ensure all Boxers have the resources they need to make their voices heard in the 2026 elections. The Hillsboro Liaison will be specifically tasked with bridging the Forest Grove and Hillsboro campuses to ensure Hillsboro-based students receive the full benefits of the Pacific Votes program.

Pacific Votes Student Ambassadors work within the McCall Center for Civic Engagement under the supervision of the Program Manager of Applied and Experiential Learning. Training, support, and a focus on professional and personal development make this on-campus job an excellent opportunity to both make an immediate impact on our campus and improve your professional prospects post-graduation.

Design and implement events and outreach campaigns aimed at the entire Pacific community and/or specific student groups.

Contribute to Action Plan and End of Year report writing.

Provide your own insight and conversation with peers to ensure the Pacific Votes programming is responsive to the specific needs of our study body.
