The Ocean County Health Department is seeking a full time Program Nutritionist to certify participants in the Ocean County WIC Program. Full time positions include generous benefit time, medical, prescription, dental, hospitalization, and a vision insurance program. Duties include diet assessments for woman, infants, and children, one-on-one counseling, teaching nutrition education classes at all WIC sites throughout Ocean County.
The WIC Program currently has offices located in Toms River, NJ, Lakewood, NJ and Manahawkin, NJ.
Currently the WIC Program operates Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday from 8:00a.m. to 4:30p.m. On Wednesdays the WIC Office is open from 10:30a.m. to 7:00p.m.
Full Time positions offer a Comprehensive Benefit package including medical, dental, vision, prescription, and pension.

EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Community Nutrition, Nutritional Sciences, Clinical Nutrition, Public Health Nutrition, Home Economics. The completion of a Verification Statement from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics indicating the completion of a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) may be required by the NJ WIC Program.
and/or
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in Public Health with a major in Nutrition or possession of a Master's degree in Nutrition.
NOTE: Appointees may be required to possess a current and valid certification as a Registered Dietician issued by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
EXPERIENCE: 0-1 year.
LICENSE: Applicants must possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license.
