How you'll make an impact in this role:High-Quality Culinary Production: Prepare and cook a variety of meals using diverse methods (baking, braising, sautéing, etc.) while following standardized recipes to ensure excellent flavor, texture, and appearance.
Therapeutic Diet Compliance: Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with planned menus and specific therapeutic diet orders, maintaining strict adherence to portion control and nutritional guidelines for residents.
Safety & Regulatory Standards: Maintain a sanitary work environment by following Federal, State, and Local regulations, which includes monitoring food temperatures, practicing proper labeling/storage, and adhering to infection control protocols.
Efficiency & Resource Management: Manage food production schedules to ensure timely meal service, utilize batch cooking to minimize waste, and accurately track inventory and leftovers to control food costs.
