LOCATION OF (1) POSITION(S) TO BE FILLED: DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, DAVIDSON COUNTY
Advanced degree in Nutrition, Public Health, Public Administration, or related field. Experience in large-scale program administration or policy development. Strong knowledge of supplemental nutrition programs (e.g., WIC). Experience with program monitoring, compliance systems, and policy implementation. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional strategy initiatives.

Qualifications
Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor''s degree and experience equivalent to substantial (five or more years of) full-time increasingly responsible professional health program work including, at least two years of full-time supervisory work or statewide program oversite.
Substitution of Education for Experience: Additional graduate coursework in a business or health related field may be substituted, on a year-for-year basis, for one year of the required nonsupervisory experience.
Substitution of Experience for Education: Additional qualifying professional experience may be substituted for the required education, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of four years.
Necessary Special Qualifications: A valid motor vehicle operator''s license may be required.
Overview
The Nutrition Quality Services Manager will provide statewide leadership in the development, alignment, and implementation of administrative and operational systems that support supplemental nutrition programs. This position places a primary focus on strengthening clerical and administrative functions such as intake processes, categorical eligibility determination, documentation requirements, and certification processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance statewide.
While nutrition- specific policy and planning remain key responsibilities, this role functions primarily at a systems, operational, and policy administration level. The Manager advances a cohesive statewide administrative services strategy, oversees monitoring systems, and ensures consistency and integrity in program operations. The position reports to the Nutrition and Breastfeeding Director, who maintains oversight of nutrition and breastfeeding service content and special grant management.
