Employment Type:\n \nPart time\n \nShift:\n \nRotating Shift\n \nDescription:\n \nSt. Mary Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a Nursing Supervisor to join our team!\n \nSchedule: Per diem, 12-hour rotating shifts. Minimum working requirements are 4 shifts within our 6-week schedule.\n \nThe primary objective of this position is to improve quality. A registered professional nurse who is able to plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate nursing operations and hospital activities on the designated shift.\n \nJob Title: Nursing Supervisor\n \nEmployment Type: Per Diem\n \nShift: Rotating (main need is currently nights during weekdays)\n \nLocation: St. Mary Medical Center\n \nPosition Purpose\n \nThe primary objective of this position is to improve quality. A registered professional nurse who is able to plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate nursing operations and hospital activities on the designated shift.\n \nAs a Nursing Supervisor, you will:\n\n Representative for hospital and nursing administration in dealing with patients, families, visitors, physicians, press and/or community at large on designated shift.\n \n\n Communicates nursing and/or hospital operational problems to the appropriate Administrator.\n \n\n Acts as a resource for the Access Department to facilitate patient placement according to diagnosis and infection control standards.\n \n\n Coordinates morgue activities, including interactions with families, physicians, funeral directors, police, district attorney's office and coroner's office to facilitate the identification and timely release of deceased persons from morgue on designated shift.\n \n\n Responds to Code 99 calls, trauma alerts, and other internal emergent situations, coordinates activities, reassigns staff and provides supplemental staff as necessary.\n \n\n Communicates educational needs of nursing personnel on designated shift to appropriate Nurse Manager/Director.\n \n\n Maintains clinical skills and functions as a resource person for nursing department on designated shift.\n \n\n Coordinates hospital activities during internal and external disasters until Administrator on call arrives.\n \n\n Evaluates the need and authorizes overtime, being aware of fiscal constraints.\n \n\n Reviews daily staffing worksheets, monitors and revises as necessary patient assignments based on patient acuity and nursing skill mix.\n \n\n Carries out projects and other assignments as required.\n \n\n \nMinimum Requirements:\n\n BSN\n \n\n PA RN License, or Compact License\n \n\n BLS\n \n\n 3 years of clinical practice as an RN\n \n\n \nPosition Highlights:\n\n Work/Life balance with flexible schedules.\u202f \n \n\n Free onsite parking.\u202f \n \n\n Our mission and core values are what drive each member of Trinity Health to support each other, communicate openly and respectfully while embracing a culture that nurtures a healing, safe environment for all.\u202f\u202f \n \n\n Referral Rewards Program \n \n\n Onsite discounted childcare through Bright Horizons\n \n\n \nAbout Us: St. Mary Medical Center is a beautiful 53-acre state-of-the-art facility comprised of more than 700 physicians, nearly 3,000 colleagues, and 1,100 volunteers committed to providing quality care delivered with compassion and respect.
