Responsibilities:
  • Reporting to the Dir Nursing, the Supv Nursing is a registered nurse responsible for coordinating all care for a specific unit.  
  • He/She has oversight responsibilities, including but not limited to staffing, scheduling, employee development, and expense management.
  • They are responsible for carrying out supervisory duties in accordance with the organization’s policies, applicable laws, and evidence-based practices. 
Qualifications:

Job Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited university or college. 
  • 1+ years of clinical experience and progressive leadership experience.  
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in accordance with the Kansas State Board of Nursing, Nurse Licensure Compact. 
  • National certification from a professional nursing organization in a relevant field of clinical expertise (e.g. Nurse Executive – Board Certified, Critical Care Registered NurseProgressive Care Certified NurseMedical-Surgical Nursing - Board Certified, or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality). 
  • If not, one must be obtained within 18 months from hire date
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care

Preferred Job Requirements: 

  • Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Hospital Administration.
