Summary:
Supports the patient care team by performing multifunctional activities such as direct patientcare, under the direction of a Registered Nurse and administrative/clerical support. In medical office setting: rooms patients, takes and records vital signs and collects specimens.
Minimum Qualifications:
Formal Education Required:
Must be enrolled as a full time or part time student in an accredited associate degree or bachelor's degree nursing program and have completed the first clinical rotation.
Proven ability to read and write English, follow written and oral instructions and perform basic mathematical functions
Nursing Student Tech (NST) Conditions of Eligibility:
An employee may remain in the NST job post-graduation and pre-licensure up to six (6) months after which their eligibility to stay employed as an NST will cease.
Experience and Training Required:
Must complete Summa's orientation
Current BLS-HCP card upon hire and maintained thereafter

Level of Physical Demands:
