GRADE 22 LOCATION OF POSITION MDH - Office of Long Term Services and Supports 201 W. Preston Street Baltimore, MD 21201
Main Purpose of Job This position serves as the lead PASRR Specialist within the Office of Long-Term Services and Supports (OLTSS). This position is responsible for overseeing the Preadmission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) process, which includes both PASRR Level I and PASRR Level II reviews across the State of Maryland. This role ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, provides clinical oversight, coordinates with Telligen, the states Utilization Control Agent, and collaborates with long-term care facilities, local health departments, and other state agencies.
The PASRR Specialist leads cross-agency collaboration, conducts training, manages special projects, and assists in drafting transmittals, Joint Chairmens Reports (JCRs), and other regulatory documents as needed. The role also involves research to inform policy decisions and enhance PASRR-related procedures and outcomes.
This position operates in a hybrid manner, meaning job duties will be performed both remotely and on-site unless otherwise directed by the appointing authority.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education A Masters degree in Nursing or a health-related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience Five years of experience as a Registered Nurse, including one year of experience in an administrative, supervisory, consultative, or teaching capacity.
