The Nursing Manager of Inpatient / Medical-Surgical Services is accountable for the overall leadership, operations, staffing, quality, regulatory compliance, and financial performance of inpatient services. This role has full responsibility for all inpatient and medical-surgical nursing operations and personnel management. Physicians and advanced practice providers do not report to this position.
Essential Functions
Provide operational leadership
Oversee patient care delivery
Direct staffing, scheduling, hiring, coaching, discipline, and performance management
Ensure quality, safety, regulatory compliance, budget management, patient experience, and emergency preparedness
Directly Supervises registered nurses, LPNs, CNAs, patient care technicians, unit secretaries, and other assigned support staff.
Physicians and advanced practice providers are not direct reports.
Minimum Qualifications
BSN requiredMissouri RN License in good standingBLS certification5 years acute care nursing experience and 3 years leadership experience requiredMasters degree preferred
