Job Summary
The Instructor for Nursing's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing instruction of students enrolled in the courses related to the professional nursing education program, participation in all phases of planning, implementation and evaluation of the professional nursing education program, policy development, and promulgate changes approved through the Nursing Program Association. This individual is also responsible for maintaining office hours, and teaching extended day classes, labs, and hybrid/online courses, as required, both on campus and at alternate locations. This individual helps coordinate and attend advisory committee meetings; attends workshops, seminars, and conferences to upgrade teaching skills; assists in the development of curriculum, as needed; and maintain program computer labs. All LIT faculty are responsible for recruitment and retention as a part of achieving the Institute's Shared Vision of Growth and Excellence.
