Job Summary

We are currently accepting applications for a full-time Nursing Instructor.

Job Duties:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities include but arent limited to:

Teaching approximately 15-20 contact hours per week per semester in the classroom, skills lab and/or clinical setting

Maintaining weekly office hours

Advising Students

Participating on college or system committees

A successful ACTC faculty member will exhibit the following:

Willingness to work with peers to support the mission of the college

Willing to teach at times, location and modalities to meet the needs of our students

Present the current discipline knowledge to teach effectively

Demonstrate respect for the diverse learning needs of students

Demonstrate the ability to utilize teaching methods designed for a variety of learning styles

Willingness to participate in the colleges continuous improvement process.

Minimum Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have

Bachelors degree in nursing or related healthcare field (Masters preferred).

Nurse faculty in a practical nurse program shall have a minimum of an associate degree with a major in nursing from an accredited college or university. (Bachelors preferred, educational plan required for obtaining BSN).

The nurse faculty shall hold a temporary work permit or a current unencumbered license or privilege to practice as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

The nursing faculty shall document a minimum of two (2) years full time or equivalent experience as a registered nurse within the immediate past five (5) years and shall have and maintain expertise in the clinical or functional area of responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred experience is Master''s degree in Nursing and prior teaching and elearning course development.
