The School of Nursing offers CCNE-accredited Baccalaureate, Master's, and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs. This position requires in person\n \nand/or virtual teaching in the classroom, laboratory, and practicum settings. Teaching responsibilities will focus on graduate nursing program needs, graduate student advising, and mentoring student scholarship projects. This role also required service to the School of Nursing, university and professional community.\n \nQualifications:\n \nA graduate degree in nursing with a doctorate in nursing or a related field and current advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) licensure and certification with a primary care focus as Family, Adult Primary Care or Pediatrics. Candidates expecting to earn a doctoral degree prior to August 2026 will be considered, with the requirement that the successful candidate must have the doctoral degree by the start date. Other requirements include active RN and APRN licenses and the ability to obtain Virginia RN and APRN licensure by the start date.\n \nPreferred qualifications include teaching experience at the graduate level of nursing education, three years of recent practice experience, and scholarship appropriate to rank. This position is tenure-track, with the rank of Assistant Professor assigned to the successful applicant.
