Join our team! Technical College of the Lowcountry is recruiting Clinical Nursing Adjunct Instructors for Hampton, Beaufort, and New River Campuses!

Duties and Responsibilities Teaching Responsibilities

  • Instruction including hands-on and theory
  • Clinical management of students
  • Administrative tasks that may include reports, clinical documentation, and student evaluations
  • Assess the accomplishment of students on a regular basis
  • Maintain records of student attendance, grades, and progress
  • Direct supervision of students in a variety of clinical settings

Instructional Development

  • Recommend for approval adequate instructional materials for course
  • Work with other areas of the college such as Tutoring, Retention, etc. to help ensure student success
  • Prepare reports in cooperation with Division Dean for input in planning/reporting system and/or for submission to the accrediting body of the College or program

Professional Development

  • Attend relevant professional meetings
  • Represent the College positively in interactions with the community and with professional and academic groups at local, state, and national levels
  • Maintain frequent communication with nursing faculty (or course coordinators)

Minimum and Additional Requirements REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree in nursing is required
  • South Carolina Nursing License required with a minimum of two years' experience in Long Term Care, Mental Health, Med-Surge, or Maternal Child Nursing
  • Must have current BLS certification
  • Must meet all requirements for clinical participation per clinical facility

Preferred Qualifications PREFERRED:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing
