The above captioned positions are brought to the attention of all teaching and administrative personnel. This position is a one-year appointment and is pending funding.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse in good standing with the Board of Registration in Nursing
- Licensed with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
- Master's degree preferred
Responsibilities:
- Address the needs of students with chronic health conditions so students with these conditions may attend school safely.
- Assist in initiating a "Bridge" re-entry program, with adjustment counselors and other school staff, for students returning to
academics after extended absence for reasons such as post hospitalization, rehabilitation or recovery, or concussion, to
successfully return to learning.
- Assist in providing health education at the PreK-12 level that addresses all aspects of using trauma- and resilience-informed
approaches.
- Assist in implementing additional projects such as responding to state and local emergencies, pandemic response, changes in
state mandates and requirements for school health services, etc.
- Provide an annual community health needs assessment that addresses health inequities and the impact of institutional racism
and socioeconomic disparities on students and their academic achievement.
- Duties the Nursing Supervisor deems necessary and assist in all aspects of grant requirements.
Compensation: Brockton Public Schools Contract 1.1 Admin 10 months + 1 week
