Position Title: Nurse Supervisor – Maternal Child Health (Director-Level Coverage)
Location: New York, NY 10037
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 Hours/Week
Duration: 13 Weeks (High possibility of extension or permanent placement)
Pay Rate (Local): Up to $4,000/week
Pay Rate (Travel): Up to $4,691.20/week (including stipend)

Position Overview

The Nurse Supervisor (Director-level coverage) provides leadership and operational oversight for the Maternal Child Health Department. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care, strong clinical performance, and effective departmental operations. The position requires advanced leadership capability in program development, quality improvement, staff supervision, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to enhance patient care quality and staff performance
• Monitor nursing practices and ensure adherence to clinical standards
• Collaborate with nursing leadership on unit assessments and operational planning
• Implement and manage corrective action plans when required
• Maintain systems for tracking medication errors and staff counseling documentation
• Oversee daily operations within Maternal Child Health services
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practices
• Support and drive quality improvement initiatives
• Participate in leadership meetings and strategic planning activities

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of nursing experience
• At least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role
• Strong experience in Maternal Child Health or related clinical leadership area
• Ability to perform at director-level responsibilities

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Required
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) – Preferred

Licensure & Certifications

• Active New York State RN License
• NYSED License Verification
• Current AHA BLS Certification
