About the Position
This position is with East Mississippi State Hospital and is located in Lauderdale County. The official MSPB classification title is Nurse Supervisor. The working title for this position is Nurse Supervisor (BASAC). This is a second-level nurse management position responsible for directing nursing services and providing oversight of nursing staff, nursing operations, patient care coordination, and related documentation. The incumbent is accountable for supervising subordinate and specialist nursing personnel, reviewing work and documentation, coordinating patient care activities, and supporting the administration of nursing programs. The incumbent functions as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team and provides leadership in a patient care setting. Duties include directing nursing services, coordinating care across shifts and disciplines, monitoring clinical and operational issues, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, and supporting safe, effective, and quality patient care.

Typically requires state licensure as a Registered Nurse, 3-5+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse, and 2-4 years of experience supervising nurses.
