Position Title: Nurse Supervisor – Associate DON Behavioral Health

Location: Bronx, NY

Weekly Hours: 40 Hours

Schedule:
• Day Shift | Monday – Friday
• 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Duration: 14 Weeks (High possibility of extension or permanent placement)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor / Associate Director of Nursing for the Behavioral Health Department overseeing CPEP, Inpatient, and Outpatient services. The role involves leadership, operational oversight, staff supervision, and quality patient care management within a behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities:
• Plan and develop programs to improve patient care and employee performance
• Monitor unit performance and assess patient care standards with Nurse Managers
• Communicate and support corrective action plans when necessary
• Maintain record-keeping systems for medication errors and staff counseling
• Supervise nursing operations and ensure regulatory compliance
• Support quality improvement initiatives and staff development programs
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes

Requirements:
• Minimum 7 years of nursing experience required
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience required
• Strong background in Behavioral Health or Psychiatric Services preferred
• Experience in inpatient and outpatient behavioral health environments preferred
• Experience supervising nursing staff and departmental operations required
• Knowledge of quality improvement and performance management required
• Ability to manage corrective actions and patient care initiatives required
• Strong understanding of behavioral health nursing operations required
• Active RN License required
• BLS Certification required
