Job Title: Nurse Supervisor (Assistant Director of Nursing)
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Type: Direct Hire (Permanent)
Schedule: 5 Days/Week | 8 Hours/Day | 40 Hours/Week
Position Overview:
The Nurse Supervisor (Assistant Director of Nursing) will oversee nursing operations in the Internal Medicine Surgery department, ensuring high-quality patient care, staff supervision, and compliance with hospital standards in an acute care setting.
Qualifications:
• Active New York State RN License – Required
• Master’s Degree in Nursing with 5+ years experience (including 3 years supervisory/teaching)
OR Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with 6+ years experience (including 4 years supervisory/teaching)
• Strong nursing leadership experience – Required
• Acute care hospital experience – Required
• Internal Medicine or Surgical unit experience – Preferred
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and manage nursing staff within the department
• Ensure high-quality patient care and clinical compliance
• Oversee daily unit operations and workflow
• Support staff training, education, and development
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Monitor regulatory and hospital policy compliance
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Assist in nursing policy development and implementation
