    Position Summary

    Washington Regional's Trauma Surgery is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time Advanced Practice Provider or Physician Assistant, to join our team. This is a hospital-based nocturnist position.

    Essential Position Responsibilities

    • Surgical consultations and responding to ED for trauma alerts.
    • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans.
    • Assist in diagnosing and managing medical and surgical conditions.
    • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications and treatments.
    • Ensure accurate documentation and complete discharge summaries.
    • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

    Qualifications

    • Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner with Acute Care certification or Physician Assistant program.
    • Licensure and Certifications: Arkansas Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License and CPR, required. National certification, required
    • Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in trauma surgery or critical care setting, preferred.
    • EMR: EPIC EMR experience, preferred.

    Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50lbs. This position will spend 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment.
