    Description

    Advanced Practice ProviderAssess and treat patients with common acute conditions, illnesses, or minor trauma in collaboration with a physician.
    • Educate patients and/or families about preventive care, positive behaviors, medical issues, and use of prescribed medical treatments and/or medications.
    • Maintain legible, accurate, and confidential medical records.
    • Document all medical evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, treatment, outcomes, education, and referrals.
    • Serve as Medical Examiner and perform physical examinations and other occupational health exams.
    • Prescribe medications within scope of license.
    • Ability and willingness to work weekends in response to clinic staffing requirements.
    • Demonstrates team concept and treats all medical clinic staff in addition to onsite facility staff with dignity and respect.
    • Promote teamwork between clinical and administrative staff.
    • Be able to work independently (under indirect supervision).
    • Has the ability to use judgment to determine when a supervising physician should be consulted.
    • Perform point of care and CLIA waived testing such as Covid, Influenza and Strep A swabbing, Cholesterol, FSBS, A1C, etc.
    • Displays active knowledge of HIPPA, maintains strict Team Member confidentiality.
    • Commitment to the concepts of occupational and team approach to health care.
    • Attendance and performance per employer manual.
    • Any other duties or tasks as assigned.
    • Occupational Component of Kia Georgia specific facility includes:
      • Performing non-DOT urine drug screens, breath alcohol testing, blood and hair specimen collection.
      • Collaboration with Kia Georgia EHS Medical, staff, contractors, etc.
      • Hearing Conservation Program and Respiratory Protection Program in compliance to OSHA industrial requirements.
      • Scheduling, follow up and missed appointment monitoring.
      • Obtain x-ray images of patients through the process of radiographic imaging.
      • Case Review, Monitoring and Closure as applicable.
    Education and Experience
    • Current licensure as a Certified Registered Family Nurse Practitioner or Current Licensure as a Physician Assistant.
    • Have at least one year of experience (2+ preferred) as a provider in an emergency care setting or urgent care setting.
