Nurse Practitioner Cardiology - Per Diem Poughkeepsie, NY
The Heart Center is seeking a per diem board-certified Nurse Practitioner to join its established and growing Cardiology Practice, Hudson Valley Cardiovascular Practice PC. This inpatient position is based at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. This is an excellent employed opportunity at a large community hospital in a beautiful suburban NY location.
Job Highlights
• Provide care for a high volume, fast-paced inpatient Cardiology service in collaboration with an outstanding team of cardiologists • Takes initial patient histories and performs physical examinations • Provide coverage for urgent and emergent matters • Performs daily patient rounds • Performs consultations, admissions, and discharges • Highly competitive per diem rate
Qualifications
• NYS License and Board Certification • Cardiology and/or critical care experience required
Located on the banks of the scenic Hudson River, Vassar Brothers Medical Center has a brand new 696,000-square-foot eight-level inpatient pavilion with 264 private medical-surgical patient rooms and 30 critical care rooms. Vassar provides the leading acute and critical emergency care in the region, including a Level II Trauma Service and Interventional Neuroradiology. Vassar has established centers of excellence in cardiac services, cancer care, and women and childrens health services. Vassar is consistently ranked as one of the strongest cardiac programs in the United States and one of the Top 100 Heart Hospitals by Modern HealthCare Magazine.
Our employed Medical Group, Nuvance Health Medical Practice, includes 900 physicians and advanced practice providers serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York. VBMC is also now part of Nuvance Health. Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations - Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital, and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center, and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York - plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practices, locations, including The Heart Center, a leading provider of cardiology care, and two urgent care offices.
