Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Pain Management

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our clinical team. This is a full-time position offering hands-on experience in the growing field of pain management. New graduates are encouraged to apply—we provide training and ongoing support.

Salary Range: $125k (flexible/based on experience) + benefits 
Location: Fitchburg, MA

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and treat new and existing patients with chronic and acute pain conditions

• Perform comprehensive assessments and physical exams

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed

• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans

• Prescribe medications, including controlled substances, in compliance with all applicable regulations

• Order and coordinate interventional pain procedures

• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, pain management strategies, and medication use

• Monitor treatment efficacy and make necessary adjustments

• Accurately document patient interactions in the EMR

• Collaborate with physicians and the clinical team to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications:

• Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Massachusetts

• New graduates welcome – training will be provided

• Strong interest in managing chronic pain and working in a high-volume clinical environment

• Excellent communication and clinical judgment skills

• Comfortable seeing 25–30 patients per day

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):

• Clinical rotation or prior experience in pain management, orthopedics, neurology, or primary care

• Familiarity with EMR systems

• Bilingual skills a plus
