Indiana University Health has an opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Wound Care team at IU Health Methodist Hospital!
The Comprehensive Wound Center is a multi-disciplinary team-based practice. Plastics APPs work in a multitasking environment that includes inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. While the role is autonomous, it collaborates closely with Attendings, Residents, and APP colleague from multiple services including Plastics, Vascular, Infectious Disease, and Rehab Services.

- Full Time, Day shift
- 4 10-hour shifts (7:00am-5:30pm)
- No weekends, holidays or call
- 95% outpatient, 5% inpatient
- Care for patients with complex wounds including pressure injuries, traumas, diabetic foot ulcers, cellulitis and oncology related wounds.
- Team includes 1 Physicians and 3 APPs
Key responsibilities
- Ongoing wound care, HBO and inpatient consults/rounding
- Procedures include; Wound debridement, Incision & Drainage, Cultures, Wound closure, Skin biopsies, Excisional debridement, Local anesthesia or nerve blocks, and Hyperbaric chamber operation.
Qualifications
- Masters degree required
- ACNP, AGNP, FNP and PA certification required
- Open to new graduates with surgery and/or wound care clinical rotation or training
- APP Experience in Wound Care, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care or Surgery/Surgery subspecialties preferred
