The Staff Pad has partnered with a premier hospital in Blue Ridge, GA and we are looking for a dedicated Nurse Practitioner who values variety, autonomy, and meaningful patient relationships.

In this unique hybrid role, you'll alternate between outpatient clinic care and inpatient hospitalist coverage, practicing across the full continuum of care. Schedule: Full-Time | Alternating Weekly Schedule | Outpatient + Inpatient Care

  • Week 1: Outpatient Clinic Practice
  • Week 2: Inpatient Hospitalist Coverage
  • Rotates every other week
  • Full-time position with flexible scheduling based on organizational needs
  • Some call, weekends, and holiday coverage may apply

What You’ll Do

This provider assesses, diagnoses, treats, and manages acute and chronic conditions while collaborating with physicians, nursing teams, specialists, and ancillary departments to ensure exceptional care and smooth transitions across the continuum.

Outpatient Clinic Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient evaluations, including histories, physical exams, and diagnostic assessments
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions within scope of practice
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications and therapies
  • Order, perform, and interpret lab tests, imaging, and other diagnostics
  • Provide preventive care, wellness counseling, immunizations, and health screenings
  • Educate patients and families on disease prevention, management, medications, and healthy lifestyle choices
  • Coordinate referrals and collaborate with specialists and ancillary services
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant EMR documentation

Inpatient Hospitalist Responsibilities

  • Manage hospitalized patients through admissions, rounding, and discharges
  • Perform histories, physical exams, and develop care plans
  • Monitor patient progress and respond to clinical changes
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapy services, consultants, and case management
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care conferences
  • Support discharge planning, care coordination, and transitions of care
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, providers, and care teams
  • Complete admission notes, progress notes, discharge summaries, and EMR documentation

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (MSN or DNP)
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in the applicable state
  • National NP certification (ANCC, AANP, or equivalent)
  • Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
  • Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred or required for hospitalist role
  • Ability to obtain hospital privileges
  • Experience in both outpatient clinic and inpatient/hospitalist settings
  • Background in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Hospital Medicine
  • Rural healthcare or Critical Access Hospital experience preferred
  • EMR proficiency

Compliance & Quality

  • Follow clinical protocols, hospital policies, and regulatory standards
  • Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
  • Assist with accreditation, credentialing, and privileging requirements
