Compensation: $120,000 – $170,000 annually
Work Environment: Outpatient neurology clinic serving adult patients with movement disorders
Coverage Model or Hours: Structured clinic schedule with protected visit times
About the Opportunity / A Day in the Life
This is a focused outpatient neurology role centered on caring for patients with movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, tremor, dystonia, and related conditions. You’ll manage a consistent daily patient panel of approximately 12 patients, allowing for thoughtful, in-depth clinical care without the pressure of high-volume throughput.
Your day will include a mix of new patient evaluations and follow-up visits, with time built in to thoroughly assess symptoms, adjust treatment plans, and provide education to patients and families. You’ll work closely with a neurology team while maintaining a high level of autonomy in patient management.
This setting offers a steady, predictable workflow with a strong emphasis on continuity of care. You’ll have the opportunity to build long-term relationships with patients while contributing to meaningful improvements in quality of life for a complex and often underserved patient population.
Why This Role Stands Out
Structured patient volume with longer visit times—prioritizes quality over quantity
Specialized focus in movement disorders with meaningful clinical impact
Outpatient-only setting with a predictable weekday schedule
Strong continuity of care and opportunity to build lasting patient relationships
Collaborative neurology environment with provider autonomy
No travel requirements and stable, on-site workflow
What We’re Looking For
Board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP)
Clinical confidence managing adult patients in an outpatient setting
Interest or experience in neurology or movement disorders
Strong communication skills and patient-centered approach
Ability to work independently within a collaborative team
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive neurologic evaluations for new and established patients
Diagnose and manage movement disorders including Parkinson’s disease and tremor
Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans
Manage medications, including titration and monitoring for side effects
Provide patient and caregiver education on disease progression and management
Coordinate care with neurologists and interdisciplinary team members
Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently
Monitor patient outcomes and adjust care plans as needed
Participate in clinic workflow optimization and care coordination
Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and quality standards

Board certification as an FNP or ACNP
DEA license (or ability to obtain)
Experience in neurology, primary care, or a related clinical setting
Preferred Background
Experience in neurology or movement disorders
Prior outpatient clinic experience
Familiarity with chronic disease management and longitudinal care models
Comfort with patient education in complex neurologic conditions
This Role Is Likely a Fit If You…
Enjoy building long-term relationships with patients
Prefer a structured, predictable outpatient schedule
Value spending more time per patient for thorough care
Have an interest in neurology or subspecialty care
Thrive in a collaborative but autonomous clinical environment
This Role May Not Be a Fit If You…
Prefer high-acuity inpatient or hospital-based care
Want a fast-paced, high-volume clinical setting
Are seeking procedural-heavy responsibilities
Prefer variable scheduling or shift-based work
Are not interested in chronic disease management or follow-up care
