Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Part-Time

MT Pain and Injury Centers

Position Summary

MT Pain and Injury Centers is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team in a part-time role combining in-clinic patient care with telehealth services. The NP will evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage patients with musculoskeletal injuries and pain conditions, including those involved in Personal Injury (PI) and Letter of Protection (LOP) cases. This provider will work collaboratively with the Medical Director, clinical staff, and practice management to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care while maintaining accurate documentation that supports patient care, billing, and legal reporting requirements.

Schedule

  • Two (2) days per week providing in-clinic patient care at the Memphis location.
  • One (1) day per week providing telehealth visits remotely.
  • Weekly schedule is fixed, with specific days determined in collaboration with practice management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive new patient evaluations, including obtaining medical histories, conducting physical examinations, and establishing diagnoses.
  • Develop, implement, and periodically re-evaluate individualized treatment plans in accordance with clinic protocols and evidence-based practice.
  • Manage follow-up patient visits by monitoring progress, evaluating treatment effectiveness, and adjusting care plans as appropriate.
  • Document all patient encounters in Tebra at the time of service, ensuring complete, accurate, and timely medical records.
  • Recognize and appropriately respond to red-flag symptoms, complications, and adverse reactions according to clinic safety protocols.
  • Prescribe medications and manage pharmacologic treatment, including reviewing allergies, contraindications, and potential drug interactions.
  • Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic imaging, laboratory studies, and specialist referrals as clinically indicated.
  • Maintain objective, detailed documentation that supports medical necessity, billing compliance, and PI/LOP attorney narrative reporting.
  • Coordinate patient care and discharge planning with Dr. Chadehah and other members of the healthcare team in accordance with clinic policies.
  • Communicate effectively with clinical, front office, billing, and case management staff to promote continuity of care.
  • Conduct telehealth visits from a private, HIPAA-compliant environment while maintaining the same clinical and documentation standards as in-office visits.
  • Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, home exercise recommendations, and follow-up care.

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Tennessee.
  • Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner (AANP or ANCC).
  • Active DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain) if prescribing controlled substances.
  • Current malpractice/professional liability insurance, or eligibility for coverage under the clinic's policy.
  • Experience in pain management, physical medicine, orthopedics, family medicine, emergency medicine, or a related specialty preferred.
  • Experience treating Personal Injury (PI) and Letter of Protection (LOP) patients strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable providing telehealth services and documenting in an electronic medical record system (Tebra experience is a plus).
  • Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills with an understanding of how medical records support patient care, billing, and legal documentation.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Work Environment

  • In-Clinic: Outpatient clinical setting at MT Pain and Injury Centers in Memphis, Tennessee.
  • Telehealth: Remote work from a private, secure location that meets HIPAA compliance standards.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and appropriate equipment are required for telehealth visits.
