Join Our Leading Hematology Oncology Team as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Our reputable medical institution is seeking motivated Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to join our dynamic team. This vital role offers the opportunity to work alongside top oncology specialists, providing exceptional patient care in a collaborative environment dedicated to innovative treatment and positive outcomes.

What You Will Do:
  • Manage hematology oncology patients in a busy clinical setting, including infusion suite responsibilities
  • Collaborate with oncologists and healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Respond promptly to patient inquiries regarding lab results and treatment updates
  • Use your expertise to work independently on some days, supporting patient needs efficiently
  • Engage with a multidisciplinary team including infusion nurses, nurse navigators, medical assistants, dietitians, social workers, and specialized palliative care providers
  • Ensure accurate documentation and contribute to patient triage processes
  • Support patient education and follow-up care, contributing to a comprehensive treatment approach

Required Skills:
  • Active Oregon State license and DEA registration
  • AONCP certification
  • BLS certification
  • Experience working with hematology and oncology patients
  • Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Previous experience in infusion suite management
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
  • Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations
  • Prior experience in clinical research or advanced oncology care

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in hematology/oncology settings
  • Previous work in a hospital or outpatient clinic environment

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work 3 or 4 days per week, with options for 8 or 10-hour shifts
  • Willingness to start by mid-June, subject to background clearance
  • Ability to complete licensing and credentialing applications promptly
  • No travel required; work will be onsite at our state-of-the-art clinic within the hospital
