Penn Medicine has an exciting opportunity for a Part Time Advanced Practice Provider to join our growing academic electrophysiology (EP) practice in southern New Jersey. As part of the prestigious Penn Cardiac Care team, we are dedicated to our mission of providing the highest level of care to patients. Working for at Penn Medicine means that you will be collaborating with top clinical, technical and business professionals.

This position requires a background in electrophysiology and a willingness to provide quality care in collaboration with physicians, nursing staff and other members of the multidisciplinary care team. Our team provides the highest quality care alongside EP physicians and other members of the health care team. Distinct functions of the position include pacemaker and ICD interrogations, pre and post procedure management of advanced arrhythmia patients, and management of patients including antiarrhythmic pharmacotherapy and patient / family education. This position is outpatient only. Service covers clinics in southern New Jersey, Somers Point, Cape May, and Vineland. This NP/PA service provides training and support for your success.

All Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants function under the guidelines designed by the University of Pennsylvania Health System medical staff and are credentialed through that body. The CRNP or PA hired by the Department of Advanced Practice will be held accountable through a formal job description, the delineation of privileges and their agreement with their collaborating/supervising physician who has initiated a Collaborative Practice Agreement. All clinical work hours and associated requirements will be defined and managed under the direction of the collaborating physician/division designee, and within the Human Resource guidelines.

Schedule: 10-hour shifts - weekday

    • >200 SVT/VT ablations
    • >700 device implants
    • >150 Watchman procedures

 Required credentials:

  • Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant with a Masters, current licensure or eligibility for licensure, and eligibility for credentialing by the medical board required.
    · BLS/CPR, as a healthcare provider as per the American Heart Association (for providers in the ambulatory setting) required
    · ACLS (for providers in acute care setting) required
    · State CRNP licensure or Physician Assistant licensure in states work is performed required
    · PA and or NJ Prescriptive Authority will be needed at time of hire
  • Preference to candidates with experience. If new to practice in Advanced Practice, previous experience in Cardiology is preferred.

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • The APP must be reviewed by the Credentials Committee and approved by the Medical Board before start date
    · Master's Degree or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Nursing or Physician Assistant with a Master's Degree required

Salary Range:

$83,200.00 - $208,000.00/Annually based on 40 hours per week
