Pay range for this position is $34.25 - $51.13/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.
Overview:
POSITION SUMMARY: The Nurse Navigator serves as a patient advocate, educator, and coordinator, guiding patients and families through the healthcare continuum during the pre and post surgical areas. This role ensures patients receive timely, seamless, and compassionate care while supporting clinical teams in reducing barriers, improving outcomes, and enhancing the patient experience. The Nurse Navigator models the Mission, Values, and service standards through every interaction.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Associate degree in nursing
Experience: 3 years’ experience in medical/surgical nursing, surgical office, operating room or ambulatory surgery. Working knowledge surgical processes and workflows.
Licensure/ Certification: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in Illinois. Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS CPR or approved equivalent.
Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: BSN (Bachelors of Nursing)
Experience: 3 years’ experience in areas such as Cardiology, Neuro Surgery, special procedures etc. Working knowledge of perioperative patient care processes.
