Job Summary:

The Nurse Manager is responsible for the overall coordination, supervision, and evaluation of nursing services and staff. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, safe, and compliant patient care while supporting team performance, operational efficiency, and organizational standards. The Nurse Manager works collaboratively with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to promote positive clinical outcomes and continuous improvement. Responsible for workflow processes, clinical oversight, staff supervision, and quality improvement within assigned programs. Maintains confidentiality of all materials and records.

POSITION SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide leadership, supervision, and direction to nursing staff and support personnel.
  • Oversee daily clinical operations to ensure safe, effective, and efficient patient care delivery.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor nursing policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
  • Manage staffing plans, scheduling, and resource allocation based on patient needs and acuity.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and retain qualified nursing staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, competency assessments, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Address and resolve patient care concerns, safety issues, and operational challenges.
  • Oversee documentation practices to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Utilize data and reporting tools to monitor performance, productivity, and quality indicators.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and patient-centered care.
  • Monitor quality of care, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
  • Support staff development through education, training, and professional growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with physicians, clinical leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and improve outcome.
  • Serve as Administrator on Call for nursing staff as scheduled.

Education:

  • Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) Required.
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of previous management experience required; additionally, experience working with individuals with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders is preferred.
  • Prior experience with managing more than one department and/or building teams/units preferred.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Ability to exercise sound clinical judgment, initiative, patience, and effective leadership.
  • Strong leadership, supervision, and team development skills
  • Knowledge of nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance processes
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing operational needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and support employee relations issues
  • Understanding of co-occurring disorders, trauma-informed care, and community-based treatment models.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

  • Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Oklahoma
  • Must possess a valid Driver License and satisfactory driving record to use agency and/or personal automobile to travel to locations other than primary office.

This job is classified as a "safety-sensitive" position as defined by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act.
