Registered Nurse (RN) Manager Outpatient Wound Care - Springfield Wound Clinic

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) Manager has responsibility and accountability over operations, revenue cycle integrity, community education, clinical management, and strategic growth of the Outpatient Wound Care Program and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT). The Nursing Manager plans, implements, and evaluates the delivery of overall nursing care to patients and may need to provide direct patient care depending upon the outpatient facility. The ability to work with clinical and non-clinical leadership for the unification, standardization and improvement of wound care is crucial in this role.

Essential Functions:

• Provides daily management and ensures compliance over all aspects of the outpatient wound program • Continuously analyzes data and processes to ensure efficient operation and quality performance of the outpatient center • Implements program objectives, KPI's, and timelines for wound care and HBOT Centers, then tracks executed activities to report to hospital leadership for managing trends and changes • Promotes departmental plans while continuously analyzing data and processes to ensure efficient operation and quality performance are met by staff • Collaborates with the clinical leaders and other regional leaders to drive consistency and standardization of best practices • Participates in hospital meetings and activities, as appropriate, to encourage collaboration of the outpatient wound center with other departments and advocate on the center's behalf

Education:

• Bachelors of Science, Nursing (required) • Masters of Science, Nursing (preferred)

Licensure/Certification:

• Must possess one of the following: • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) • Registered Nurse (RN) covered by the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) • BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, required prior to direct patient care)

Preferred Certifications:

• Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN) • Certified Ostomy Care Nurse (COCN) • Certified Continence Care Nurse (CCCN) • Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON)

Experience:

• Nursing Management and/or Leadership experience (required) • Experience in Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (preferred) • Experience in Hospital Outpatient Setting (preferred)

Training:

• Wound Care Centers that offer Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) • Completion of Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) approved 40-hour course within 6 months of hire and completion of written exam (required) • EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training (preferred)
