A 238-bed acute care hospital in Panama City, FL is seeking a Nurse Manager of Emergency Services. The facility is home to the only Pediatric ER in the community, a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and holds designation as an Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Resuscitation as well as Advanced Primary Stroke Care certification.

The role. Reporting to the ER Director, the Nurse Manager oversees approximately 55.80 FTEs within a 44-bed Emergency Department that sees 140–180 patients daily. The manager is responsible for day-to-day provision of patient care, formulating staff schedules in collaboration with the Director, and providing direct supervision of staff including performance evaluations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions as needed. This role also drives performance improvement by collecting and analyzing data to identify opportunities to enhance care delivery and unit processes, while actively facilitating onboarding and integration of new employees alongside preceptors.

What we're looking for.

  • 3-5 years of acute care (within the last year) ED leadership experience
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma from an accredited institution required
  • Must be enrolled in BSN program
  • Current FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held in another state, active FL RN compact license required within 90 days of hire. Advanced Nurse Practitioner license acceptable
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification required within 30 days

Schedule. Evening shift, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM.

Compensation. $86,000 - $116,000 per year plus Sign on: No Sign on; Relocation Assistance: Case By Case
