Position Summary:
A Registered Nurse with 24 hour accountability for managing Cardiovascular Intensive Care. Provides overall supervision of Registered Nurses and other healthcare providers who deliver nursing care within areas of responsibility. Responsible for recruitment and retention, performance review, and professional development; involved in the budget formulation process and quality outcomes; and helps to plan for, organize, and lead the delivery of nursing care for a designated patient care area. A leader that communicates organizational vision and values and asks for the involvement of the work group to achieve target performance in quality, safety, service, efficiency and effectiveness.
Position Qualification:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing is minimal nursing degree accepted.
Master's degree preferred (MSN, MBA, MHA, MPH) and if absent must initiate Master's program within two years of hire.
