As the HFA Nurse Manager, you’ll serve as a clinical resource for residents in Home for the Aged (HFA) and Independent Living (IL), while leading and supporting the care team to deliver exceptional, compassionate care every day.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
Provide supervision, guidance, and oversight of the Direct Care Supervisors and Caregiver Retention Specialist.
Provide clinical guidance to Resident Care Assistants and Medication Techs on the performance of their duties.
Assist Resident Care Assistants and Med Techs with job-related duties.
Function as a member of the HFA leadership team; work collaboratively to ensure the department is adequately staffed; and delegate/reassign team members to best meet resident needs.
Resident Care
Provide treatments, injections, or medications to residents as ordered by the physician.
Ensure documentation is informative, descriptive, and reflects the care provided to residents.
Communicate and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to make decisions that ensure resident well-being is achieved.
Maintain and update Plans of Care (POC), coordinate ancillary services and referrals, and monitor clinical tracking processes (e.g., vitals, wound care, labs, TB testing).
Review and process physician notes, lab results, and diagnostic reports; ensure accurate and timely documentation.
Coordinate communication with PCPs and external partners.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Valid RN or LPN license in the State of Michigan.
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
Previous clinical experience working in a licensed HFA community.
Current CPR and First Aid certification required.
