The Nurse Manager is a registered nurse who functions as a supervisor and clinical resource for staff. She/he implements management and clinical activities. Coordinates clinical activities to ensure that the nursing process is operationalized utilizing Standards of Care/Standards of Practice. Primary responsibilities include ensuring the provision of patient care consistent with department/hospital and regulatory standards.

Schedule: 36 Hours (Evening/Night) off shift hours

The Off Shift Nurse Manager will be responsible for day to day operations of the Emergency Department, including but not limited to, associate evaluations, recruitment, retention, associate engagement. This position will cover the Adult ED, Psych ED, and Pediatric ED. Hours will be non traditional hours. This will be a 36 hours per week position to flex up to 40 as needed including weekend requirements.

Education:

Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate nursing program (BSN) required. Work requires current Massachusetts RN license.

Experience:

A minimum of three to five years clinical experience is required. Charge nurse or supervisory experience is a preferred. Analytical abilities necessary to organize, supervise and evaluate the work of others, to develop, interpret, implement, and evaluate policies, procedures and standards. Work requires effective communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Effective verbal and written multilingual skill (beyond that of English) in languages appropriate to the patient populations served by the Hospital. Proficiency with standard software programs used in healthcare (such as MS Word, Outlook) and web browsers, patient registration systems and electronic medical record.
